Rhythm and Pattern

150mm, f/8, 1/80, ISO 200

To represent rhythm, I used the repetitive detail of this old black-and-white timber-framed building. I noted what Michael Freeman said in the course materials about using something to break up the monotonous rhythm, and so included the air vent on the far left.

Seeing this collection of clocks on the wall in a shop reminded me of Michael Freeman's 'bicycle seat' image. I thought the different shapes and sizes would make a nice pattern, and I cropped close to give the impression that there were a lot more clocks outside of the frame (even though there weren't).
